Jabiru Cottage" is the home of the Schools as Community Centres program in Northlakes Public School.
The building is located at the end of the car park to the right of the main office.
This program began in 2004 and now provides a variety of activities at the Cottage to support local families with children 0-8.
The program aims to build on the strengths of the community by connecting families to each other and developing strong relationships between the community and the local services that are available to them.
We focus on supporting parents and carers in raising happy, healthy children and ensuring they have a positive start to school.
The activities at the Cottage include playgroups, parenting programs, transition programs, parent support groups, TAFE Outreach courses and partnerships with local services that provide support to local families.
The Cottage is available to all families so call in at any time to have a chat and find out what's happening. The activities change from term to term and you will always be able to read about them in the school newsletter. Wendy Ballard manages the centre and hercontact details are as follows:
